Software
and film for
the art world.

“Most of the art world’s software is built by people who have never hung a show or written a review. Ours is built by people who have.”
Len Gordon, founder

The wall

Every default is a judgement, and judgement does not survive a handoff.

A show is described as a sequence of arguments and arrives as a grid of thumbnails sorted by date. Nobody decided to flatten it. It flattened itself in translation, because the person who understood the argument was not in the room when the defaults were set.

The studio works on the seam. The people who decide what the work means are the people who build what carries it.

Q.01

Pour l’Art built Culturalee from scratch: the identity, the website, the SEO. We arrived with a name and an idea and left with a publication.

ArtWire was incredibly helpful and accessible. Thanks to their platform, we were able to distribute our news to over 300 publications, media outlets, and freelancers within London alone.
